The North of Zambia has long been overlooked, as a tourism destination. Our package takes you through the heart of the North and offers a marvelous bush experience in the process.
Day 1-2
Kafue River Lodge
We will begin at Kafue River Lodge. The first two-nights here will be spent mostly enjoying the river. We feel it’s important to put focus on the rover activities at this stage because there is much driving in this itinerary.
Day 3-5
Kasonso
After a couple nights at Kafue River lodge we will transfer you to Kasonso Camp to explore the region around Busanga on game drives.
After a few days in this area, we will leave from Lusaka and overnight on the North side of the town.
Day 6
Lusaka
Days 9-10
Kasanka
You shall stay at Wasa Lodge for the nights at Kasanka. Wasa is based at the edge of Lake Wasa. Birding in the park is exceptional. You will also have a chance to spot sitatunga from one of the hides, in the early morning.
Days 11-13
North Luangwa with Classic Zambia
Classic Zambia are setting up a camp this year on the banks of the Mwaleshi river. Kutandala camp is well situated, in a region teaming with big game. North Luangwa is famous for its walking safaris.
Most of your activities shall be walking based but you will likely also have the option for game drives in the evenings.
Day 14
Kapishya
Built in 1956 by Gore-Browne’s son in law, John Harvey, the lodge offers six high quality chalets with ensuite facilities, all built from local materials.
They all face the Mansha River and are surrounded by ravishing green gardens with variety of radiant plants and flowers.
