Asanja Ruaha
Asanja Ruaha is situated right on the Ruaha River. Ruaha is famous for its Ancient Baobab trees and the camp is ideally located among these trees and the Miombo forest.
In 2008, the Usungu Game Reserve and other important wetlands were added to the Ruaha National Park, increasing its size to 20,226 square kilometers making it the largest park not only in Tanzania but the entire East Africa.
Ruaha is a hidden Gem in Safari circles. The park boasts of her almost untouched and unexplored ecosystem, allowing the visitor to have a rare safari experience away from the maddening crowd of other vehicles. It is home to one of the largest population of elephants and has the second largest concentration of lions on earth. The Lesser Kudu is only seen in this park along with the endangered wild dogs.
