A striking oasis in the semi-desert landscape, The Manor is an elegant villa in a contemporary Karoo style. Centrally located on Samara Karoo Reserve's 67,000 acres of born-again wilderness, The Manor offers exclusive-use accommodation for families and small groups of up to 8 guests seeking privacy, indulgence and complete relaxation.

Samara itself is one of South Africa's most diverse safari destinations, comprising five vegetation biomes across strikingly varied topography, home to over 60 mammal species including the Big Five and cheetah, as well as 225 bird species. Guests at Samara are treated to intimate and exceptional safari encounters, enabling them to reconnect with Nature in the context of Samara's ambitious rewilding vision.

Upon arrival the eye is drawn through The Manor's glass double doors flanked by beaded artwork to the breathtaking views beyond, where the scenic mountain landscape unfolds over an infinity pool descending to a waterhole. Guests benefit from their own private vehicle, guide, tracker and chef, as well as a tailor-made programme of activities for the entire family to enjoy.

During the renovation of Karoo Lodge (06 May - 14 December 2023), The Manor is available to be booked on an FIT (individual traveller) basis.
