Tee up at our world-class 18-hole Par-3 course for the ultimate golfing experience. Our course has been masterfully designed, with large undulating bent grass greens, beautifully and strategically placed bunkers and rough most golfers would like to avoid, setting you up for a great short game challenge, especially when the South Easter rears her head. We have been very aware while creating our course, to be environmentally friendly and responsible. While playing, you will not only be able to enjoy the challenge our course presents but also the amazing scenery of the Stellenbosch surroundings as well as the indigenous trees and carefully conserved pockets of natural vegetation which celebrate the fresh air splendour of our course.

Our state-of-the-art driving range is the first of its kind in South Africa. It is a spacious two-tier facility with 32 bays facing onto a 270-metre range. The bays are equipped with the latest tracking technology for an unparalleled interactive golf experience. In addition to our range, we also offer a large practice putting green, several chipping greens, a 90 metre pitching area, greenside practice bunkers and a fairway bunker. Our goal is to give you the opportunity to sharpen every aspect of your game in one place.

To complement the golf course and modern practice facilities, Hazendal has created the Kleine Hazen Putting Park, featuring a 27-hole putt putt course to be enjoyed by golfers, non-golfers and families alike (with all equipment provided). While the manicured putting green on the golf course allows for focused practice, the Putting Park allows golfers and novices to discover the lighter fun side of the game.

The custom-designed park is suitable for all ages and skills. It offers an ideal team-building experience, with the adjacent picnic areas and jungle gyms making it the perfect destination to enjoy the various event and party packages on offer.

Generous picnic baskets filled with delicious fresh fare can be enjoyed on the spacious shaded lawns, at one of our pre-booked picnic areas situated in the gardens, or alongside the landscaped wetlands. With streams to splash in, outdoor sculptures to admire and gardens to explore, the Babushka Picnics are ideal for families and friends looking to spend the day relaxing on one of the Cape’s oldest wine estates.

Babushka Picnics are offered Tuesday – Sunday, at 10:00 or 13:00.

Enjoy an exclusive journey into the wines of Hazendal, with a cellar tour and tutored wine-pairing experience in our elegant subterranean Wine Library.

Each wine is paired with a flavour-packed micro-plate, reflective of Executive Chef Michélle Theron’s inventive cooking style and showcasing her contemporary flair that is evident across the estate’s culinary offerings. Each serving arrives enclosed in its own capsule, forming a striking ceramic and glass tower. When one serving is opened and enjoyed, the next bite is revealed as guests move through the pairing. Expect to be charmed by seasonal menus and interactive elegance.

The Wine Library experience lasts for approximately two hours. A maximum of 14 guests can be accommodated at a time, and prior reservation is essential. The complete experience, including welcome drink, guided tour, wine tasting and pairing portions, costs R680 per person.

Wonderdal offers an immersive and interactive edutainment experience, blending creative design, award-winning educational resources and world-class technology, to combine learning with play. At Wonderdal children aged 5-13 can discover the worlds of science, nutrition and nature across a variety of indoor and outdoor activity zones. With the colourful Amuki characters by their side, and trained WonderPals to supervise, young adventurers can look forward to a fun day out discovering a world of wonder and knowledge.
