Here you will see first-hand how one person’s vision, determination, passion and perseverance have positively impacted the rescue and care of young rhinos affected by poaching.

A visit to the Sanctuary is a unique chance to be a small part of the orphaned rhinos' rehabilitation journey. The highlight of the activity is meeting some of the sanctuary's patients and helping with their feeding.

RHINO CONSERVATION HELICOPTER EXCURSION
An extraordinary opportunity in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve for guests to sponsor and personally experience an ANTI-POACHING AIR SURVEILLANCE FLIGHT.

Recognizing what a valuable tool air presence is for rhino anti-poaching efforts, Mpumalanga Helicopter Co is committed to making regular patrols a reality.

THE EXPERIENCE
Guests will be collected at a helipad closest to the lodge they are staying at and, in the company of an experienced Timbavati Ant-Poaching Unit Ranger patrol the property for approximately one hour.
While Wildlife may be spotted, the flight's primary focus is to provide air surveillance and for guests to gain insight into the Timbavati's Wildlife Protection Program.
